Let’s Sea Hua Hin: website here.

Let’s Sea Hua Hin Alfresco Resort

The girls and I were planning a nice getaway to celebrate my bff’s upcoming wedding, and being such fickle-minded people we couldn’t decide if we wanted a city adventure or a beach getaway… so we decided to have both – a 5d4n trip to Hua Hin & Bangkok.

Side note: I was particularly excited about the beach because I’d been in Auckland winter for the past 4 months… and I was CRAVING for some sun and beachside relaxation.

Although we planned to do lots of things in Hua Hin, like visit the pretty Santorini Park, our hotel Let’s Sea Hua Hin was so delightful that we opted to spend more time indoors and around the hotel. Here’s more info so you can plan your next trip there pronto!

Getting There.

Initially, we wanted to take the bus from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Hua Hin town and then a taxi to the hotel. This was the most cost-efficient method as a bus ticket would only be 269 Baht / SGD $11.30 per pax, (we had 3 pax), compared to a $90 private car.

However, we took our chances by not booking in advance… and it backfired! We arrived at the airport on a Sunday morning (which we thought would be low traffic timing) but the next 2 bus timings were sold out. So we had to scramble and try to find a private transfer online (some vendors were offering transfer services at the airport but they were a HUGE RIP-OFF – don’t ever book there!)

We managed to contact Thai Smiles Taxi (at a reasonable quote of 2000 baht / SGD $84 to pick us up within 30 minutes. Yay!

The journey took about 2.5 hours (much faster than it would be if we had taken the bus) and we were comfortable (P.S. Remember to stock up on snacks at the airport!).

The Rooms

We booked the Pool Access Jacuzzi Suite (with an extra bed) and it was realllllly pretty.

Everything was thoughtful and plushy, from the beds to the chillax corner with nice cushions and the outdoor area, which leads directly to the pool!

The room came with a nicely stocked minibar (snacks, juices free – only the alcohol was chargeable) and even TWG tea (I know, I was impressed too!)

The tub was HUGE with Jacuzzi jets and a TV (so you can soak for ages while enjoying some shows). I nearly flooded the bathroom with bubbles because I used bubble bath and turned on the Jacuzzi jetshaha.

We loved how there were little things like mosquito coils (for us to use if we were outdoors), a nice tote bag with towels to use if we headed to the beach or the pool and more.

score!

Fortunately, the resort was not crowded, so at times we did feel as if we had the pool to ourselves!

Food

Unlike some other resorts where they overcharge you for subpar food (because they know you would prefer to stay in and eat in the hotel), the food here was extremely good and well-priced.

Just a sample of what we ordered for breakfast omg!

Breakfast (included) was an ala-carte buffet with optional champagne! You could order anything on their menu, which had western options like oatmeal, eggs benny, pastries to local options like congee, sticky rice and pork and more – multiple times if you wanted. We had so much to eat that we were usually too stuffed for lunch!

Their coffee is served with an over-the-top box with syrups and sugar

Can I also add that every table at breakfast had a mosquito coil underneath to keep those pesky insects away? Super thoughtful!

We also had an afternoon tea by the beach, for that tai tai life.

I would honestly say that if you wanted to stay in for the whole trip, you definitely wouldn’t have to worry about food!

What to do there?

The hotel is right at the beach, so you can decide whether you lounge at the beach or by the pool. What a tough choice…

ME.

If you want some drone shots for your next travel trip, but don’t want to splurge on one, why not rent some equipment from Leasany? They are a Singapore travel rental company with tons of travel gear available for rental, from drones and Gopros,  to hiking backpacks and luggages!

*Use my code <EVANNSEE> for 20% off your rental – good deal must share!

Over seas from coast to coast…. (10 points if you can continue this song)

Drone rental costs $10/day excluding a refundable deposit – pretty good price right? Although my heart nearly stopped flying the drone over the sea for the first time, I was super thrilled to have this experience!

I also got a game-changing travel SIM card from them – the AIRsim! I’ll probably do a separate post on it, but basically it’s a universal sim card which you can use to buy data/voice packages on an app before arrival, so you don’t have to search for a sim card when you land! The 5 day data package with unlimited daily data cost $10 – a super fair price. ding!

If lounging around is not your thing (then we can’t be friends, haha jk), there’s plenty of things to do at the hotel itself too. They have alfresco cooking classes and fitness classes (we spotted someone taking part in a muay thai class!!), a nice gym, as well as a spa, which they give you 50% off some massage services.

Needless to say, we spent most of our time lounging around.

If you want to head out, the night markets are not too far away. We loved the Cicada Night Market (walking distance, full of arty stuff) as well as the Hua Hin Night Market (a short taxi ride away). There’s also a town with McDonalds, Starbucks and all that jazz.

Craft! So cute….

Big Question – What’s the Cost?

Of course, such amenities and pampering doesn’t come cheap. The 3d2n stay at Let’s Sea Hua Hin cost us about 16,748 BAHT / SGD700! It came with a 500 baht rebate upon check-in so yay to discounts!

It’a also worth to note that we did book rather last minute, so maybe you might be able to get a better deal if you plan ahead.. which responsible adults do.

This place is a perfect romantic escape for you and your loved one, as well as a great chillax getaway with your besties! If you are ever thinking of Hua Hin, trust me – this is worth the stay.

Conclusion? JUST DO IT!

Hope you enjoyed this read, don’t forget to share if you liked it 🙂

XOXO
