Before this visit, I’ve seen Hoshino around plenty of times but only tried it once for coffee. I’m super glad to have been invited there to properly try their food because now I’ve got a new favourite place to hangout. Let me show you some of their delicious food – try not to drool!
#1. Double Pancake Souffle Style ($12)
These are literally the fluffiest pancakes I’ve EVER seen. They taste like the good-old McDonald’s pancakes BUT so much fluffier and better! I love how they give you enough syrup to enjoy the pancakes with, as well as homemade whipped butter.
If it’s not enough for you, you can go for their Chocolate Banana version or add a Softee on top – but trust me, these are delicious. What’s more, they are freshly baked to order! It’s been weeks since I’ve had it, but I’m just itching to head back for more.
#2. Omu Souffle on Tomato Risotto with Shrimp and Broccoli ($16)
Again, Hoshino has really impressed me with their souffles – I know how hard it is to get a souffle THAT FLUFFY and high, and stable! We even jiggled it and trust me, it was glorious. Dig into that souffle for their delicious Tomato Risotto – cooked perfectly. I like!
#3. “Hoshino” Pot-Baked Curry Rice ($15)
When this came out, it was so fragrant it had us salivating before we even tried it. It might look simple, but it is SO FLAVOURFUL. The egg on top was runny and made it even more creamy! #icanteven
#4. Hoshino Spaghetti with Eggplant, Shimeiji, Bacon & Sausage ($14)
This might look like a simple dish, but once again, I was surprised at how delicious it was! To be honest, it might be the dish I ate the most that evening (I was craving for pasta coincidentally!). I love how the pasta was cooked perfectly and it was light – not “gelat” at all. This is one of their most popular pasta, as well as the Lobster Bisque Soup Spaghetti (which you absolutely need to try too!)
#5. Angus Beef Steak Plate ($21.80)
Rejoice meat-lovers, Hoshino has launched their special menu to celebrate their 4th Anniversary! This menu consist of many Beef items, so drool away!
This is perfect for those who can’t make up their minds – they have everything on one plate! For $21.80, the beef portion is very good and perfectly-cooked (you can request for it to be more well-done if you prefer, but IMO this was perfect). The beef is tender and juicy – you won’t regret it.
#6. Omu Rice & Angus Beef Steak Plate with salad ($18.80)
Can’t go without your Omu Rice? Then get this – delicious tender beef complimenting the Tomato Rice under the creamy egg. Ok, stop drooling.
Once again, portions are very generous, so you won’t feel like you are at some atas restaurant which charges you $20 for a tiny plate of nothing. heh.
#7. Strawberry French Toast ($12.80)
French Toast has gotten an upgrade here – topped with strawberries, homemade whipped cream and maple syrup. It might sound over-the-top SWEET af, but it’s actually not. I love their homemade whipped cream which is light and not overly sweet. The french toast is soft, warm and yumms. Perfect ending to your meal!
#8. Iced Sakura Latte with Softee ($9.30)
If you are looking something different to drink, try this! It tastes like rose, strawberry, vanilla and flowery all at once. And of course, it’s totally Instagrammable.
If you are into Matcha, they have a selection of Matcha drinks for you – their Matcha drinks are really rich and authentic.
#9. Iced Fruit Tea ($9.90)
If you aren’t in the mood for Matcha, Sakura or coffee, try their Fruit Tea. I love how they have a whole load of fruits inside (almost like a Sangria). It’s available both hot or iced, both equally delicious and fruity (none of that syrupy artificial stuff ya).
#10. EVERYTHING LA
Can’t decide what to eat? Head over and look at their menu anyway – there’s something for everyone! Don’t forget to check out their special menu – I preferred the Angus Steak Plates over the rest, but whatever floats your boat!
Lastly, please please don’t forget to try their
PANCAKES!
P.S. They have outlets at Plaza Singapura, ION, Capitol Piazza, Suntec, Holland V – you can check out their website here!
